So you are getting married soon and you are thinking about having a wedding marquee. How do you go about selecting the right one for you? There are a number of things for you to consider and I will be going through each one. I will talk about the size and structure, the exterior and interior and one of the most important things the floor.

So the first thing you need to think of is the structure of the wedding marquee. You will need to consider both the number of people attending the wedding and where the marquee will be situated. You will need to balance the one with the other.

Now in an ideal world you will plan your wedding marquee prior to selecting the venue and before you know the number of guests that will be coming. If that was the case you could have a selection of marquees in your mind and you could select the venue to accommodate. I guess that for most people the venue is already booked.

After you are comfortable with the size you need to move on to the exterior. Now not many people give this a lot of thought as they are more interested in the interior. This is fine but given that you may be able to influence it then why not? Think about having additional windows especially if the event is happening in the daytime.

Interiors are the most important thing for a lot of people when selecting the wedding marquee, and why not? That is where you will be spending most of your time. This is where you can be at your most creative. Think about the linings and the colours, this is where you should not compromise.

An area where a lot of people fail to look at is the floor. The flooring is important as you need it to be strong and flat. You don’t want your guests disappearing into the ground! If you are having a dance floor then make sure the material is suitable.

A wedding is a stressful event and you will not want to worry about your wedding marquee. For additional information about wedding marquees please visit Emma’s site.
